Remote Ltd has successfully completed the development and deployment of the e-CIPS application for the Municipality of Busovača, marking another important milestone in the digital transformation of local public administration in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The solution enables municipal officials to electronically retrieve citizens’ residence information directly from the central identification database, significantly simplifying administrative procedures and reducing unnecessary paperwork.
The implementation follows the same vision that is increasingly shaping modern public services across the country—citizens should no longer be required to provide information that public institutions can securely obtain themselves. By integrating municipal administrative processes with the central residence database, the e-CIPS application eliminates the need for citizens to submit physical CIPS certificates for a wide range of administrative procedures, resulting in faster service delivery, lower administrative costs, and a significantly improved user experience. Similar initiatives have demonstrated how digital integration reduces bureaucracy while improving efficiency and transparency in municipal administration. Developed as a Windows Forms desktop application in C#, the solution is built on a Microsoft SQL Server database and includes a secure API layer for communication with external systems and centralized data services. The application automatically retrieves and validates residence information during administrative procedures, allowing municipal staff to complete requests more efficiently while maintaining data integrity and security.
Beyond software development, the project included system architecture design, API development, database implementation, deployment, testing, and technical support to ensure seamless integration into the Municipality’s existing administrative workflows. The result is a reliable digital tool that modernizes everyday operations while supporting compliance with digital governance principles.
